WHO WE ARE
Liesl Lim
An Industrial engineer who shifted to ecology. After completing her master's degree in environmental management, she has been part of both government and NGO agencies, finishing recently as coordinator of the ecology program of the Jesuit Service Cambodia. Liesl is compassionate about local communities, indigenous minorities, forest and marine ecosystems, and permaculture.
Bert Peeters
an accredited Permaculture teacher/designer, with versatile experience and who has designed sustainable systems and products for over 30 years in the Philippines and in other countries on short-term missions. He has been the founder of Cabiokid foundation and Philippine Permaculture Association, before co-founding BPPI in 2014. He has collaborated with many individuals, corporations and institutions in search for solutions by creating smart and resilient designs.
Maricar Reverente
a financial expert and cooperative development consultant. She looks for cooperative opportunities that can uplift the capacities of communities to thrive beyond poverty. Maricar has worked for local and international NGOs as finance consultant to give support in implementing community projects and has a broad understanding of financial applications.
Narciso Gumangan
an anthropologist by training, but an architect and designer by heart. He has worked with Cabiokid foundation in the Sustainable Technologies and Entrepreneurial Permaculture (STEP) project in the province of Isabela. He is an avid bamboo biker and maker. Currently he is the main drive together with his partner at CYCAD bamboo bike lease in Brussels, Belgium
Sandino Guinto
A landscape architect with great experience in community work and permaculture site development for local government units, cooperatives and farmer organizations. His designs are polyculture, use small-scale efficient systems and are soft on the environment. With his experience in NGO and social enterprising, he designs in a multi-faceted manner driven by a deep understanding of permaculture.
